Terms and Conditions

The terms you agree to by using studentsewa.in and the Student Sewa app.

Urban Pulse Innovations Private Limited, operating as Student Sewa

Published, and still being completed

This document is dated and in force, but it is not finished. It has 4 outstanding details still to be supplied, marked in the text below, and it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer qualified in India. We are publishing it in that state rather than holding it back, so you can read where we are heading and hold us to it — and we will post a revised version, with a new date, as each detail is confirmed.

Questions in the meantime go to contact@studentsewa.in, and they will be answered by a person.

Effective date: 16 September 2026 · Last updated: 16 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of studentsewa.in and the Student Sewa app (together, the "Platform"), operated by Urban Pulse Innovations Private Limited ("Student Sewa", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who can use Student Sewa

  • The Platform is intended for students (from Class 11 through postgraduate and research study), alumni, teachers, institutions, businesses, and government bodies operating in India.
  • If you are under 18, you may only create an account and use the Platform with the involvement and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, as described in our Privacy Policy. By creating an account for a user under 18, a parent or guardian confirms they have provided that consent.
  • You must provide accurate information during verification. Creating an account using someone else's identity, a fabricated student ID, or false enrolment information is a serious violation of these Terms and may be reported to your institution or, where it amounts to fraud, to the relevant authorities.
  • You may hold only one active student account at a time.

2. What Student Sewa is — and is not

Student Sewa is a free discovery and verification layer that helps you find scholarships, wellbeing resources, jobs, housing, discounts, and campus services that already exist, and proves to third parties (the government, your institution, a business) that you are a genuine student.

To be clear about what this means in practice:

  • Scholarships and financial schemes. We help you find schemes you may be eligible for and hand you off to the official government or foundation portal to apply. We never charge a fee for this, never hold or disburse scholarship money, and never guarantee that any application will be approved. The decision belongs entirely to the department or foundation running the scheme.
  • Loan-interest and tax benefit information. Information about interest subsidy schemes and Section 80E is provided for your information only and is not financial or tax advice. Confirm current terms with the bank or department named before relying on them.
  • Discounts and student offers. Every offer listed is run by the named company on its own terms, which can change without notice. Student Sewa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any company whose logo or offer appears on the Platform, unless explicitly stated otherwise, and we do not receive any commission on these offers. We only verify that you meet the stated student criteria.
  • Jobs and internships. Listings are posted by third-party employers. We do not guarantee that any listing is still open, that you will be hired, or that a listed salary will be honoured. Use your own judgement before sharing further personal information with any employer, and report suspicious listings to us.
  • Housing. Listings marked "visited & verified" reflect a safety walkthrough by our team against fire exit, hygiene, and pricing criteria, current as of the date of that visit. Student Sewa is not a party to any tenancy or rental agreement you enter with a property owner, does not manage the property, and is not responsible for disputes between you and the owner arising after you move in. We recommend getting all terms in writing before paying a deposit.
  • Wellbeing. We surface the national mental health helpline (Tele-MANAS, 14416), your institution's counselling service, and anti-ragging reporting channels — all operated by government bodies or your institution. Student Sewa does not provide medical, psychiatric, or counselling services, and nothing on the Platform is a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call 112 or the relevant helpline directly, immediately.
  • Government grievance routing. We point you to official channels (CPGRAMS, your MLA/MP's office, relevant ministries). Filing, tracking, and resolving a grievance happens on that official channel, not on Student Sewa, and we do not speak on your behalf.

3. Verification tiers

You may verify your student status using APAAR/DigiLocker (Gold), a college email address (Silver), or an uploaded student ID or enrolment letter reviewed by our team (Bronze). Verification is valid for one academic year and must be renewed. We may suspend or downgrade a verification if we find it was obtained using false information, and may require re-verification at any time to prevent misuse.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Provide false identity, enrolment, income, or category information to obtain a scholarship match, discount code, or verification tier you are not entitled to.
  • Share, resell, screenshot for resale, or otherwise transfer a single-use discount code to someone who is not a verified student.
  • Use the alumni batch directory to contact someone who has not opted in to being found, or for any purpose other than the professional or mentoring context it is intended for.
  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Platform.
  • Use the Platform to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent yourself to another student, teacher, or business.
  • Upload teaching content, notes, or any material you do not have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's copyright.
  • Attempt to interfere with the Platform's security or availability.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, including reporting fraudulent verification attempts to the relevant institution.

5. Teachers: paid sessions, notes, and content

  • Teachers must complete institutional verification before publishing content or accepting paid bookings.
  • You retain ownership of the videos, notes, and other content you upload. By publishing it on the Platform, you grant Student Sewa a licence to display, distribute, and recommend it to matched students.
  • All uploaded content is reviewed before publication and may be removed if it is inaccurate, infringing, or inappropriate.
  • Session fees are set by the teacher. Payment is collected in-app through our payment processor, TO SUPPLY: payment processor name, and paid out on the schedule stated in-app (currently weekly), less any applicable payment processing fees TO SUPPLY: platform fee, if any — confirm commercial terms. Disputes about a specific session should be raised through the Platform within TO SUPPLY: number of days days.
  • Ranking and visibility of your teaching is based on completion rate and student ratings, not on payment to Student Sewa.

6. Institutions, businesses, and government partners

  • Institutions connecting their enrolment records or broadcasting notices through the Platform confirm they have the right to do so and that their use complies with applicable student data protection obligations on their own part.
  • Businesses posting offers or jobs confirm the offer is genuine, current, and will be honoured as described, and agree not to request student personal data beyond what is needed to redeem the specific offer.
  • Government pilots operate under the specific terms agreed for that pilot, in addition to these Terms, including the data-sharing limits described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Student Sewa name, logo, and the Platform's design, text, and software (excluding user-uploaded content and third-party logos shown for identification purposes) belong to Urban Pulse Innovations Private Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Platform without our written permission.

Company and product logos shown on the Platform (for example, in the discounts or partner-portal sections) are the property of their respective owners and are shown only to identify the relevant offer or scheme; their appearance does not imply endorsement of Student Sewa by that company.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is." While we take care to keep scholarship, helpline, and portal information accurate and sourced from the relevant department or company, amounts, deadlines, eligibility criteria, and offer terms can change without notice, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on information that has since changed — always confirm details on the official portal before applying or relying on them.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Student Sewa (Urban Pulse Innovations Private Limited) and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, including a missed scholarship deadline, a housing or employment dispute with a third party, or reliance on information that has changed. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Student Sewa against any claim arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or false information you provide, including a false claim of student status, category, or income.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform, without notice, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, or where continuing to provide access would put other users, the Platform, or a partner institution at risk.

12. Grievance redressal and dispute resolution

For a complaint about the Platform or these Terms, contact contact@studentsewa.in. We aim to acknowledge and address complaints promptly. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be governed by the laws of India, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at TO SUPPLY: city and state of jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be flagged prominently on the Platform.
